We’re working with City Futures Research Centre at UNSW Sydney to survey residents and workers of Alexandria, Beaconsfield, Erskineville, Rosebery, Waterloo and Zetland.
This survey was last completed in 2020 as we went into Covid lockdown. At that time more than 2,000 residents and workers told us:
- the area was a good place to live, raise children or retire
- the most common reason for moving to the area was proximity to Sydney’s city centre, public transport and suitable properties
- they wanted more social interaction locally with greater evening activities
- they were concerned about the impact of construction, especially density and traffic
- they felt safe or unconcerned in all situations except for walking alone after dark
- services and facilities in the area most commonly used were local cafes, restaurants and local parks
- they like to get information about opportunities and events through social media and email, followed by noticeboards in public places or in their building.
Since 2020 most of us have re-evaluated our values and goals.
As a local, we want to know what’s important to you.
This online survey is available in English and simplified Chinese.
Complete the survey and go into the draw to win 1 of 8 $100 Visa gift cards provided by UNSW Sydney.
