People came together at Redfern Community Centre for dancing, a hearty lunch and film screening.
Rowena Welsh-Jarrett from the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council performed a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony to open the event.

 Young performers from Redfern’s Brolga Dance Academy took people on a cultural journey through dance.

 On the coldest day of the year so far, girls from Brolga Dance Academy found some sun to stay warm while waiting to perform.
 
 Visitors contributed to ANTaR's Sea of Hands display. For 25 years, the Sea of Hands has been a symbol of solidarity and aims to spread awareness for reconciliation and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander justice, rights and respect.

 Local Elders and cooking gurus Aunty Patty Reed and Aunty Beryl Van-Oploo cooked a warm delicious lunch enjoyed by visitors inside the centre during a screening of the documentary Servant or Slave.
