What's living in your neighbourhood? That's the question behind Tails of Sydney, a new podcast from The City of Sydney. Join host Brooke Boney as she discovers the feathered and furry friends who share our city.
Cats may be the internet’s favourite animal but in a city they can cause a few problems. So how do we solve a problem like street cats?
We meet people doing their bit to improve the lives of their feline friends. Like Tim, who owns one pet cat but takes care of his furry neighbours.
Nerida Atkin, feline services manager at Cat Protection Society of NSW, introduces us to some cats in care.
And the City’s companion animals liaison officer Michelle O’Brien shares the success of a program we’ve been running since September 2015 that’s found homes for more than 100 kittens born on the streets.
Listen on Apple Podcasts or Android.
Tails of Sydney is inspired by Something Else is Alive exhibition at Customs House.
