The $6 million park is the largest in Sydney with zones to suit every ability and style of skating, scooting and BMX riding.
There's an expansive plaza area with rails, ledges and banks, plus a beginner bowl area. The crowning glory is a 3.3 metre-deep flow bowl, for skaters and riders who are looking to push their skills.
The skate park sits alongside the award-winning Sydney Park kids' bike track, so even the littlest skaters and riders won't be left out.
Mums, dads and admiring onlookers haven't been forgotten, with shaded areas, seating and trees throughout the park. New picnic areas, paths and barbecues have been installed too.
To celebrate the skate park's opening, we're offering free skateboarding lessons during the summer school holidays. Bookings are essential and spots are limited.
Sydney Park skate park joins a number of City of Sydney skate zones at Waterloo Oval, Redfern Park and Ward Park in Surry Hills. Another new skate park is being built at Federal Park in Glebe, due to open in early 2021.
