Pride Month returns from 1 to 30 June under the theme of Compassion and courage.
This community celebration honours and shares the history of Pride, with a month-long festival of events amplifying LGBTQIA+ voices, revelling in the rich tapestry of their culture and advocating for equal rights. While the Oxford Street precinct is the historical epicentre of celebration, businesses far and wide are encouraged to take part.
Join venues, retailers, hospitality businesses and offices and get into the Pride spirit. There are a number of ways businesses can get involved:
- Decorate your shopfront, office or venue. Starting with supplied Pride Month heart decal and posters, add your own flair. The best decorated business wins an advertising package with the Star Observer. Register by 4 June.
- Host an event to be part of the festival program of more than 70 events - from talks, performances and gigs to dragon boat races, ballroom dancing and more. The program will be marketed in our free official event guide What’s On and shared with more than 30,000 email subscribers. The best Pride event wins an advertising package with the Star Observer.
- Host an in-venue unique experience, special offer or bespoke menu.
- Be part of Pride Shopping Day on Saturday 22 June – provide special discounts to customs who mention ‘Pride’ when shopping and consider hosting extra stalls at your venue to make the day even more festive. If your business is a member of the Pride Business Charter you could win a Stonewall Hotel hospitality package. Find out about signing up.
- Donate a Pick a Purse with Felicity prize and get good brand exposure as part of the Pride Wheel happy hour at Stonewall Hotel.
- Share your support of Pride Month and get your business logo on the digital screens at Stonewall.
Find out more and be part of all the fun.
