Why this is occurring
Covid-19 case numbers have doubled in the Sydney Local Health District in the past week.
The catchment covers south-western Sydney and the inner west and parts of inner-Sydney.
It is one of the most densely populated communities in the country.
It includes large social housing estates and the majority of people live in apartment blocks. NSW Health is concerned that people in this catchment are at significant risk if they are unvaccinated.
The booking link also includes a list of suburbs so you can confirm if you live within this District:
Getting vaccinated: Other City of Sydney residents
If you use the link above and are not in a local area of concern, live outside the Sydney Local Health District catchment, and/or are not in the 16 to 39 year old age group, you'll receive a message that you are not eligible to book a priority appointment at this time.
This does NOT mean you are ineligible to be vaccinated.
Any one in New South Wales over 16 is eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine. The best vaccine is the one you can get as soon as possible.
The vaccination is always free and you do not need a Medicare card to be eligible
You can book your vaccination appointment at your nearest NSW Health vaccination clinic, nearest participating pharmacy, or local GP.
